What I Do at SSU

This semester I teach "Text and Scene Study," and the "Directing Workshop", and the "Acting Block". I also head the department's marketing efforts. As Director of the Acting Program, I teach acting classes from fundamentals to advanced scene study in the upper division Block program, including studies in acting Shakespeare, Brecht and Chekhov. One of my favorite activities in the Department is directing productions in our season of plays. I am also very involved in Department advocacy, curriculum development, season planning and budgeting. I also head the department's marketing efforts.

From 2005-2012 I served as Department Chair and from 2001-2006 I served as Chair of General Education at the university-wide level.
