The SSU philosophy department prioritizes interdisciplinary knowledge, and
so the philosophy major has been designed to equip students with the ability
to develop innovative and entrepreneurial insights. Since philosophy trains
the mind, its skills can be applied in principle to any problem and
professional vocation. Philosophy is an excellent choice for students who
wish to pursue careers in law, business, medical ethics, and education.
