Upward Bound Math & Science (UBMS)
9th-12th Grades

Upward Bound Math & Science (UBMS) is a federally funded TRIO program. UBMS offers the same services as the Upward Bound Program described above, while additionally nurturing the students' interest in a math/ science-related career.

Topics investigated by the students vary year-to-year, but may include Marine Biology, Health Sciences, Chemical Processes, Computer Technology, and Geology.

Math/science-related research and internship opportunities are available throughout the year. Field trips are conducted to science/math-related institutions.

Students have the opportunity to participate in math and science competitions.

The summer session offers a thematic science focus (such as robotics or environmental science) as well as studies in English, modern language and computer science.

Student and parent requirements are the same as the Upward Bound Program.
