Welcome to Your Preserves

Everyone is welcome to engage in education and research at the Preserves.

Individuals - Whether you’re a student, senior citizen, parent, or simply someone who wants to know more about the natural world, you can experience the SSU Preserves firsthand by taking a tour, signing up for a training, or volunteering as an educational docent or research assistant. We also welcome you to start up your own research project.

Organizations and Community Groups - We welcome you to lead tours on our Preserves. We also collaborate with a wide variety of organizations to engage faculty and students in environmental projects.
