DATA AND PUBLICATIONS

Preserve projects include environmental sensing and database technology.
Data Sharing Policies
The SSU Preserves share data collected at our Preserves with researchers, students, and the public. Data sharing encourages diversity of analysis and opinion, creates opportunities for new research, and facilitates training of new researchers. We strongly encourage researchers working at our Preserves to contribute to collaborative educational and research efforts by archiving their data at the SSU Preserves.
Use of Preserve data in publications is contingent upon acknowledgement of the SSU Field Stations & Nature Preserves in the publication and notification of publication title or URL via e-mail to ssu.preserves@sonoma.edu. We request that you do not pass data to other parties or post data directly onto a website.
Related Databases
The SSU Biology Department maintains museum collections of Preserve plants, algae and fungi (North Coast Herbarium of California), vertebrates (Jack Arnold Vertebrate Collection), insects and other invertebrates.
