Data Sharing Policies
Preserves data are generated by researchers and classes undertaking projects at our Preserves. SSU Preserves provide data with the understanding that they are not guaranteed to be correct or complete. Conclusions drawn from such information are the sole responsibility of the user and the user assumes the entire risk related to use of this data and this site. While we have attempted to ensure that these data are accurate and reliable, neither SSU, nor any of its members or employees makes any warranty, expressed or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, or utility of this information, nor does the fact of distribution constitute a warranty.
The SSU Preserves share data collected at our Preserves with researchers, students, and the public. Data sharing encourages diversity of analysis and opinion, creates opportunities for new research, and facilitates training of new researchers. We strongly encourage researchers working at our Preserves to contribute to collaborative educational and research efforts by archiving their data at the SSU Preserves.
Use of Preserve data in publications is contingent upon acknowledgement of the SSU Preserves in the publication and notification of publication title or URL via e-mail to ssu.preserves@sonoma.edu. We request that you do not pass data to other parties or post data directly onto a website.
