The
Wine Business Program has doubled the number
of undergraduates enrolled in the past five years and offered
67 professional development courses to people already working
in the wine industry.

The School of Business and Economics
has applied for accreditation by AACSB, the
Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. This
is a rigorous five-year process.
Research studies for the wine industry have been conducted by
Professors Linda Nowak, Janeen Olsen and Elizabeth
Thach.
The School created a new Enterprise
Partnership Program, directed by Rob Colman,
to foster alliances between local businesses and the University,
and hosted the Entrepreneurship “Boot Camp” to assist
young businesses. |

The Center for Regional Economic
Analysis, under the leadership of Professor Robert
Eyler, provides research data for local industries
and governments. This is featured at the annual Economic Outlook
Conference. This increasingly popular event brings together
influential business leaders from throughout the region
Professor Duane Dove heads the internship program,
placing skilled undergraduate and graduate students in local
businesses.
