The Wine Business Program has doubled the number of undergraduates enrolled in the past five years and offered 67 professional development courses to people already working in the wine industry.

The School of Business and Economics has applied for accreditation by AACSB, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. This is a rigorous five-year process.

Research studies for the wine industry have been conducted by Professors Linda Nowak, Janeen Olsen and Elizabeth Thach.

The School created a new Enterprise Partnership Program, directed by Rob Colman, to foster alliances between local businesses and the University, and hosted the Entrepreneurship “Boot Camp” to assist young businesses.

The Center for Regional Economic Analysis, under the leadership of Professor Robert Eyler, provides research data for local industries and governments. This is featured at the annual Economic Outlook Conference. This increasingly popular event brings together influential business leaders from throughout the region

Professor Duane Dove heads the internship program, placing skilled undergraduate and graduate students in local businesses.
