- K-12 Electronic Guide to African Resources - has a variety of information for teachers of grades K-12. These resources are kept up-to-date in order to provide general and in-depth information about Africa.
- African Folk tales Unit - A complete supplemental unit on African Folk tales developed by the SCORE Project. Idea for the 7th Grade standards.
- Spinning Africa: Stories From Life - K-12 project ideas and curriculum resources from the Kennedy Center's African Odyssey Interactive Project.
- Africans in Hatti, Jamaica, and Brazil - Through a series of stories, journal entries, role playing and interpreting previous events in history, students will be given the chance to learn how the African arrived in Haiti, Jamaica and Brazil.
- Slave Women of African Decent in Brazil, Haiti, and Jamaica - As a result of this unit, students will learn to read, question, to make connections, and to develop hypotheses of the history of women and other groups of people who are not members of the dominant elite.
- Deep In The Bush, Where People Rarely Ever Go - These tales, suitable for elementary and middle school, were collected by a Peace Corps volunteer in Liberia.
- The Achievements and Challenges of Zimbabwe - A very comprehensive unit developed for high school classrooms.
- How Big is Africa? - A curriculum guide developed by the African Studies Center of Boston University and is suitable for Grades 1-12.
- Black History - Six Web sites on African-American History were created as models to suggest ways to integrate the World Wide Web and videoconferencing into classroom learning.
- Africa: One Continent. Many Worlds: Classroom Ideas - This series of classroom ideas is designed to help develop an appreciation and respect for African peoples, their communities through out the world, and the natural riches of the African continent.
- Maps Of Africa - A great database of African maps for geography/history teachers. Be warned, the map files are large and may take a while to download.
- Maps of Africa and Ghana - Features a selection of maps detailing present and past boundaries, ancient empires, and later empires.
- AFRICA: It's Not a Country! - Lesson Plans for Teaching About Africa in the Early Elementary Grades Created by Preservice Teachers at Utah State University.
- 3D Flags - This site has waving flag graphics of most African Countries. They are downloadable for free use as long as you provide a link on your site back to 3dflags.com.
