  7. Eastern Studies - is an award-winning web site for Asian and Mideastern teachers. Registration is free and so are the lesson plans, pictures, and articles. It also contains a great list of web links.
  8. Lesson Plan (World History) for teaching about the Indus Valley Civilization - A social studies/language arts lesson, containing a story, various assignments, teacher guidelines and an assignment rubric.
  9. Common Visions, Common Voices - Students explore similar themes and motifs in the artwork and folklore of India, Africa, the Maya, and Native Americans.
  10. I Love Maths - Complete, Indian site on school mathematics with activities for grades 6-12, competitive exams, jokes & puzzles, Vedic math, ancient Indian mathematicians, and Math Club. Teachers may register to gain full access to the Faculty Room.

  12. SCORE CyberGuides for History/Social Studies - SCORE stands for the "Schools of California Online Resources for Education". This San Bernardino County Office of Education site provides CyberGuides (web-searching activities for students) in the area of History and Social Sciences. Search for "India," naturally.
  13. History's Happening! - A site for "kid safe" history research. Check out the "TEACHERS" option for a nice list of curriculum links.
  14. SARAI - stands for "South Asia Resource Access on the Internet" and has a wealth of links to information about India, Pakistan, and other South Asian countries.
  15. National Geographic Society Xpeditions - General Directions: Click "Standards" on the home page of this website, then select a topic in the navigational sidebar and look in the menu at the top of the main frame for links to teaching resources. Use the search function to ask for "India."
