The North Bay International Studies Project (NBISP) is a collaborative project of Sonoma State University (SSU) and the Marin and Sonoma County Offices of Education. It is part of the California International Studies Project (CISP) and a member of the Redwood Professional Development Consortium (RPDC).
Founded in 1985, NBISP works with school districts and individual teachers in the North Coast area from Marin County to the Oregon border to improve education in international and intercultural affairs and to help integrate California History-Social Science and Language Arts Standards into the curriculum. NBISP acts as a K-12 resource liaison involving classroom teachers in university events, lectures, workshops, institutes, and meetings.
