Bike to Work Day 2008
Thursday, May 15th
South Entrance of Campus
7:00 am - 11:00 am

Free Bike Registration, Bike Lock Giveaway & Maintenance!

SSU is proud to be partnering again with 511.org for this year's Bike to Work Day. On this day, we encourage faculty, staff and students to commute to campus using means other than their cars to get around. Using bikes or walking benefits our entire community.

On Bike to Work Day, we are hoping to encourage more riders than ever to take to the streets to support bicycle transportation! Energizer Stations will be located throughout the county to hydrate and encourage you on your way to SSU. Here, at your final stop, we will host a station at the south entrance to campus (near the flagpole). Stop by for free gifts, food and refreshments and a chance at great raffle prizes! Check our 511.org for more information about the Bay Area Bike Work Day.

Police & Parking Services will also be registering bicycles for free during our Bike to Work Day activities. The first 15 riders to register thier bicycles will also receive a free U-lock!

In addition, bicycle maintenance and repair will be available at this location for SSU students, faculty or staff!

If you do not own a bike, there are other great options available to you. Please visit the Sonoma County Transit web page for information on bus schedules and stop locations.

Many of our students, staff and faculty also reside within 2 miles of campus. How about leaving your car at home on a beautiful, sunny day and walking to campus?
