Crime Alert
Subject: Burglary
Date: December 19, 2011
At about 6:10 p.m. on December 19, 2011, officers responded to a burglary alarm at the SSU bookstore, operated by Barnes and Noble. No suspects were located. However, it has been determined that a burglary occurred and cash has been stolen.
Video surveillance provided images of the suspect. No weapons were seen. The suspect is described as follows:
- White male
- Average height
- Slender build
- Wearing a long black jacket, down to his knees
- Ski cap, covering his ears
- Scarf over his face
- Dark pants
The University would like to remind students/faculty and staff/the campus community:
- Always be aware of your surroundings
- If you see a crime in progress, get to a safe place and call the Police by dialing 9-1-1
- Never attempt to apprehend or chase suspects
- Report crimes and suspicious activity to Police immediately.
