Subject: Auto Thefts
Date: September 26, 2012
Cars have been stolen from three separate parking lots on the SSU campus between Friday, September 21 and Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Two stolen vehicles were early 1990s Hondas and one was a 1990’s model Acura. SSU Police checked with surrounding law enforcement agencies and have learned that in the last week five early 1990 Hondas were also stolen within the city of Rohnert Park, and two Hondas were stolen from parking lots at Santa Rosa Junior College.
Suspect Information: A witness reported seeing a male in his early twenties with a dark complexion, wearing a white tee shirt, driving the stolen Acura toward the North exit of campus at about 8:20AM on Friday September 21, 2012. The vehicle was returned to a different parking lot later the same day.
SSU Police would like to remind the community:
- Always promptly report suspicious persons or vehicles to SSU Police.
- Always lock your car doors and windows when parking your car.
- Engage alarm systems and use anti-theft prevention devices, such as a steering wheel lock, whenever possible to deter thieves.
- Be aware of your personal safety and surroundings at all times.
- Keep your car keys, house keys, and valuables with you.
