Bicycle Parking on Campus

Did You Know...?

The National Bike Registry estimates that one million bicycles are stolen each year in the United States, many without locks or improperly secured.

Sonoma State University provides bike racks in dozens of areas around campus that allow students, faculty, staff and visitors to secure bicycles. Using designated bike racks and a quality lock is the best thing you can do to avoid becoming a victim of bicycle theft.

The Parking Policy requires that these bike racks be used for securing bikes at all times. Riders may not secure bikes to trees, handrails, sign posts or other objects at any time. This practice does not make your bike more secure and often endangers the safety of others. Bikes improperly secured may be removed.
