Internship Description
Job Title: Counseling Intern
Compensation: unpaid
Amount/Type: Training and education offered, including "Red Flags", Neuropsychological Assessment, Case Conferences/Group Supervision, Didactics
Internship Length: 1 year
Hours Per Week: 20
Population: At-risk, under served children, families, couples, and individuals. Population served is representative of local demographics
Focus: Type of therapy: Long-term, Individual, Group, Crisis, Neuropsych, Family, Couple, Outpatient, Assessment, Consultation.
Setting: Community Agency
Duties: Co-facilitating groups (individual, couple, or family treatment dependent on concentration). Assessment, evaluation, clinical staff rounds, training meetings, research when applicable, charting (brief reports).
Qualifications: Two semesters counseling practicum. Application procedure requires letter of intent, two letters of recommendation, and an interview.
