Job Title: Social Recreation Intern-Children's Day Camp
Compensation: unpaid
Amount/Type: N/A
Internship Length: Summer
Hours Per Week: Total of 90 hours (2 units) for training, preparation, and 2 weeks (M-Th) of day camp
Population: Children
Focus: Autism, Developmental Disabilities, Education, Mental Health
Setting: Community Agency, Day camp will be held at our Rohnert Park site
Duties: Assist staff with a day camp for children (ages 5-10) with developmental disabilities. Gain valuable experience by helping to create goals, developing and directing activities, leading a group of campers, and completing other tasks relevant to a career in social services and education.
Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age; receive fingerprint clearance; be flexible, patient, and reliable; have a desire to work with children with developmental disablilities.
