Internship Description
Job Title: Companion to Autistic Young Adult
Compensation: paid
Amount/Type: $10.50/hr
Internship Length: 1 year/flexible
Hours Per Week: 6-10 hrs/wk during school year. More in summer.
Population: Autistic Young Adult Female
Focus: Autism
Setting:
Family Home
Duties: Assist with the integration of young adult into her community through activities (i.e. shopping, classes, public transportation, volunteer work, etc.)
Qualifications: Ability to be positive and directive when needed. Intuitive.
Additional Information: Companion would have flexibility in helping structure what community integration program would look like.
