EYH Seeks Women Workshop Leaders

The 16th annual Expanding Your Horizons conference designed to expose young women to pursue education and careers in math, science, technology and business is returning to SSU Saturday, April 12. Now in its 16th year, EYH is co-sponsored by Sonoma State University, Santa Rosa Junior College and Agilent Technologies. More SSU women are needed to organize and lead hands-on workshops for the conference. Deadline is February 15 to ensure workshop information is included in registration materials distributed to students

More than 250 students from schools in Sonoma, Lake and Mendocino counties are expected to participate in the conference this year. We are looking for women to lead brief hands-on workshops in their areas of expertise to engage the students' interest (the same session may be given from one to three times). Some fields represented by past EYH workshop leaders are scientists from various disciplines, engineers, mathematicians, educators, architects, veterinarians, computer experts, chemists, medical experts, public safety experts, financial advisors, business managers, planning managers, marketing experts and small business owners.
