Call for Nominations:
Women Student Leader of the Year Award.

Faculty, staff, administrators and students are being asked to honor a woman student who has made important contributions to our campus. The Center for Student Leadership, Involvement and Service is now accepting nominations for the 12th Annual Woman Student Leader of the Year award reception. Nominations are due Friday, February 22. A ceremony honoring all the nominees will be held at the Woman Student Leader of the Year reception at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8 in the Cooperage.

This annual award is presented in honor of SSU's National Women's History Month celebration to recognize female students who have performed outstanding paid or volunteer campus service. It honors leaders in student clubs, campus organizations, student government and academic departments. Nominating a student for this award demonstrates the admiration and respect the student has gained through her campus service. Nominees must also have a minimum Fall 2007 Cumulative GPA of 2.5. A committee of staff and faculty will review the nominations and select an award winner.

In the message, list:
1) the nominee's name and contact information (phone numbers, mailing and e-mail address)
2) a brief statement describing the nominee's noteworthy achievements
3) nominator's name, phone number, email, and campus department or organization.
