University Strategic Plan Available for Review and Comment Online
The University Planning Steering Committee (UPSC) has completed its work on version 1 of the 2008-2013 Strategic Plan for the University and is available for review and comment at Strategic Plan. All members of the University community are welcome to post their comments through the Comments link provided at that Web site. A Campus Forum will be held on April 3 from noon to 1 p.m. in Schulz 3001 to present the plan, answer any questions and take comments.
The UPSC will review and consider all comments received by March 31 in preparing the final revision of the plan (version 2). The revised plan will be then submitted to the President for his final approval prior to the end of this academic year.
On behalf of the committee, we wish to thank all members of the community who have provided us with their thoughts and suggestions over the two-years-plus gestation period for this document.
The co-chairs also wish to thank all the members of the UPSC past and present who have given generously of their time, energy, and imagination to help make this document the distillation of our University community's best ideas and hopes for itself.
As with all successful strategic planning processes, the journey has been as valuable as the destination. It has helped us to gradually develop a shared vision for SSU that we can all take back to our sphere on engagement with the work of making that vision a reality. We hope you will share our excitement with it and help us put the finishing touches on the plan by providing us withyour feedback.
