Professional Announcements

Professors Melinda Milligan, Sociology, and Caroline Christian, Environmental Studies and Planning, have been selected by the Center for Teaching and Professional Development as the first faculty associates for that center. Milligan will be the associate for the scholarship of teaching and learning and Christianson will be the associate for research and creative activities. Each will receive a one course release for one year to work with faculty, departments, schools and administration in their specific areas of expertise.

Combining artwork from community members and disabled persons, The Gallery of Sea and Heaven features several of Sonoma State professor's pieces. Mark Perlman, Kurt Kemp, Stephen Galloway, Bob Nugent and Will Smith have all contributed art to the gallery which presents the grand opening of the new exhibit, "The Idealists" at the former A Street Gallery in Santa Rosa. The exhibit runs through May 17 at 312 S. A St. in Santa Rosa. Gallery hours are noon-5 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday, or by appointment.
