New Faculty Orientation
Set for Aug. 17

The Center for Teaching and Professional Development and the Professional Development Subcommittee, along with numerous campus groups, welcome 17 new tenure track faculty with an orientation beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 17 in Schulz 1121.

The agenda includes introductions, a welcome from President Ruben Armiñana, lunch with deans and administrators, strategies for first-year success, and orientation to workshops and support services available throughout the year. The day concludes with a family barbeque at Kathy Morris' house.

A special ceremony at 5 p.m. on Aug. 18 in the University Club honors this year's Excellence in Teaching Award recipients Lynn Stauffer and Suzanne Toczyski.
