A Virtual International
Center is Busy Being Born

The Global and International Education Committee, under the leadership of Vice Provost Carol Blackshire-Belay, is busy developing a Virtual International Center to be directly accessible from the SSU homepage. It is designed and by Director of Publications Sandy Destiny.

This new online resource highlights those programs, research, faculty and classes at SSU and abroad that have a global or international focus; it is intended be a kind of "virtual clearinghouse" where individuals surfing the web can learn more about the global and international initiatives of the university or seek international connections while they're here on campus. It is beautifully illustrated thanks to the amazing pictures sent in by students, staff, faculty and alumni over the course of the past year.

When visiting the Virtual International Center, individuals will have the opportunity to explore opportunities for global learning, both at SSU and abroad. The site will be up in the next few weeks. Questions or comments?  Contact Suzanne Toczyski, Modern Languages & Literatures, 4-4177.
