Faculty Writing Program Seminars Begin

Do you have conference papers to revise, articles to write, or chapters to draft? Join the Faculty Writing Program this semester. Participating in this program will help you finish your writing projects, get acquainted with colleagues from other departments, and  learn new approaches to teaching and writing. The program consists of three separate on-going faculty seminars that meet every other week to discuss members' scholarly writings in progress (see schedule for each seminar group below).  The seminar experience is collegial and non-competitive. We provide a safe, supportive environment for you to explore your ideas and to receive throughtful feedback on your early work. New tenure-track faculty receive first priority but all faculty are welcome to participate. Contact Kathy Charmaz at 4-3955 or charmaz@sonoma.edu.

Update Your Class Webpage Link for Fall Semester

The Web Office is now updating the SSU Class Webpage. You can use the Class Web Pages Listing Update form to submit a request to add, edit or delete a link:
https://www.sonoma.edu/university/classes_update/
Please make sure your course web pages are labeled "Fall 2007" or include some other way of indicating the semester.

We can keep links for past courses on the listing, but we will move anything that is not for the current semester to a "Past Terms" section of the page.

We can now make direct links to WebCT courses. To find your WebCT course's direct link, go into the course, click "Manage Course," then find the direct course URL at the bottom of the page.

Travel Center Relocated

Experience Travel has moved from its 6 year location in the Student Union. Laurie Lubeck, who offers international travel services for SSU students, faculty and staff, has shifted to a home-based operation. Lubeck, who has launched thousands from the SSU community onto overseas adventures over the years, assures that travel planning and arrangements will continue to be made by appointment on campus, by telephone or by email. Most recent staff and faculty requests, she says, are for Hawaiian vacations or European tickets and Eurailpasses during the winter break. Contact Lubeck at 707-792-0961 (9 a.m.-6 p.m. daily) or e-mail experience.travel@comcast.net.
