There is Still Time to Review RTP Policy

Faculty are encouraged to review the proposed revision to the RTP policy, available on the Senate website at http://www.sonoma.edu/Senate/RTP/RTPrevision.html. It
includes some changes to existing policy that should be of interest to all
faculty. FSAC’s call for comments on this revised policy has been extended
to Sept. 20. For answers to questions, concerns, comments, or suggestions,
please e-mail them as soon as possible to Maria Hess, chair of FSAC.

Webinar on "Emerging Worlds: Transformative Technologies for Teaching and Learning"

Faculty are invited to attend a webinar session on "Emerging Worlds: Transformative Technologies for Teaching and Learning" on Monday, Sept. 17 from 10-11 a.m. in Schulz 2019.

Presenter Bryan Alexander serves as director of research for the National Institute for Technology and Liberal Education. In that role, he researches and develops programs on the advanced uses of information technology in liberal arts contexts. His primary research interests concern mobile and wireless computing, digital gaming, and social software. Other interests include digital writing, copyright and intellectual property, information literacy, project management, information design, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Alexander maintains and contributes to a series of blogs,including Liberal Education Today and Smartmobs.
