Darwin Lobby Dedicated

Fred GalbreathMembers of the SSU community and the family of Fred B. Galbreath gathered Sept. 26, below, to honor him during a ceremony that officially named the Fred B. Galbreath Lobby in Darwin Hall. Galbreath, who died in April 2000 at the age of 98, is shown at left on the 3,600-acre Galbreath Wildlands Preserve that he donated to the University in 2004. Dean Saeid Rahimi said the naming of the lobby shows appreciation for the gift that provides endless positive experiences for SSU students and faculty. During the ceremony, three of Galbreath's granddaughters shared memories about growing up on the ranch and their grandfather's legacy. The Darwin Hall Conference Room is named after Bob Johnson, who also spoke, and his late wife Sue.Galbreath Lobby gathering
