Learn the Geology of Sonoma Mountain
Stephen Norwick, ENSP, presents a field workshop on the geology of Sonoma Mountain from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Fairfield Osborn Preserve. Norwick will offer a geological tour of the Preserve as he has lived on and explored Sonoma Mountain for over 30 years. He will weave the stories of geological history into a walking tour across the northwest slope of Sonoma Mountain where the Preserve is located. Master Naturalist Ron Robertson offers a tour of the natural history of the Fairfield Osborn Preserve from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3. Naturalist and science teacher Ron Robertson for a below-the-surface exploration of the deeper aspects of the natural history of Sonoma Mountain. Cost is $15 per person, advanced registration required.
