New Director of Counseling
Center is Rose Lawrence

Rose LawrenceRose Lawrence, Ph.D., is serving as the interim director of the campus counseling center. Lawrence, received her Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Michigan in 2002. Prior to graduate studies, Rose enjoyed eight years serving as a student service professional in residence life at Tufts University and Wellesley College. Her pre-doctoral training included a fellowship in Culture and Cognition, an anthropologically-based approach to understanding psychological development and functioning. She completed her post-doctoral residency as a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services fellow researching disparities in mental health service delivery. Although Lawrence has a wide range of clinical experience, her particular interests are in psychology and human diversity; identity formation; conflict resolution; and anxiety and depression. She replaces Michael Daine who moved with his wife Karen, an alcohol education counselor on campus, to Colorado.

Get Seawolf ID Card by End of Month if Possible

SSU employees are being encouraged to get their new Seawolf ID Card before the month of November is over. It is available at Customer Services. In addition to the new card, some prizes like an XBox 360, a river kayak and more will be available to card owners who use Wolfbucks, reports Jenifer Crist, Administration and Finance. "All you have to do is after you have your picture taken or if you have already had your picture taken, go to customer services and put some WolfBucks on your Seawolf Card," says Crist. "Use WolfBucks at the dining locations on campus and every swipe increases your chance to win." No purchase is necessary. Visit the website for official rules. December Holiday Check Disbursement
Schedule Announced

The following schedule for December is provided by Financial Services, Expenditure Unit for Delivery of advance checks, reimbursements and other payments, both on and off campus. "Employees are asked to provide the necessary lead time to ensure we can produce checks for you when they are expected," says John Hayes, Deputy Controller, Financial Services.

December
Financial Services' offices will be closed for business from noon on Friday, Dec. 22, 2006 through Monday, Jan. 1, 2007. There will be no disbursements during this time.

University SOCMP: Last check run of the year will be Thursday, Dec. 21

SSU Academic Foundation Inc. SOFDN; SSU Enterprises Inc. SOSSE;
Associated Students Inc. SOASI; Sonoma Student Union Inc. SOSUI:

Last check run of the year will be Friday, Dec. 15. No checks will be run during the week of Dec. 18 although every effort will be made to issue checks for any emergency situations that may arise.

Lead Time: Requests for advances, reimbursements and all other invoices must be in Accounts Payable a minimum of five full working days prior to the disbursement date in the above schedule. Request for Catastrophic Leave Donations

Requests have been received from the following University employees who have been determined eligible to receive donated sick and vacation leave credits due to a recent catastrophic illness/injury:
