SSU president Dr. Ruben Arminana signs up for his Seawolf ID card at Customer Services.
The Scoop on the Seawolf Card
The Seawolf Card is SSU's new employee identification card. To get one, bring a photo ID and visit Customer Services. "The Seawolf Card provides all the services of the current employee ID along with a number of new and exciting features," says Ryan Ernst, Director of Marketing and Card Services.
"The goal is to provide one card to faculty and staff that will do everything." In addition to being the official SSU ID, the Seawolf Card serves as a library card and has the capability to function as a debit card with WolfBucks (formerly Flex Cash). Seawolf Cards are already being used by students to purchase meals in campus dining locations and cards will soon be accepted at Seawolf Shops and vending machines. In the future, Seawolf Cards will provide access to the Rec Center, campus events, and allow access to building doors.
To celebrate the introduction of the Seawolf Card and WolfBucks, a promotion runs in November. "Swipe and Win" with WolfBucks gives every WolfBucks user a chance to win prizes just by using their card at any dining services venue. With each swipe of the Seawolf Card, users will be entered into a drawing for prizes including an X-Box 360, a kayak, lunch at the University Club, and more. Every swipe from Nov. 1-30 provides one entry into the contest. For official rules check out Wolf Bucks. No purchase is necessary.
