Armand Gilinsky, Business, has been named one of the scholars for the Shibusawa Ei'ichi Foundation's annual research conference in St. Louis, which brings together teams of scholars from the U.S., Japan, and China to study cross-cultural issues and challenges. University of Missouri-St. Louis and the Shibusawa Foundation have jointly sponsored conferences in recent years on a variety of subjects, including the future of Japan, U.S.-Japan relations, Japan’s relations with other Asian states, U.S.-Japan economic history among others. The theme for the June 2007 conference will be entrepreneurship in China, Japan and the U.S. Gilinksy is one of the designated U.S. scholars, working specifically on a team developing case studies about entrepreneurs.
