A RIVER RAN
THROUGH US
An unexpected river of water surged down Sonoma Mountain near E. Cotati Ave. on Dec. 31 and
made its way quickly to low lying parts of the campus, causing unexpected damage. Without the quick
thinking of some staff, matters would have been much worse. At left, Larry Stone from the Facilities Department works to
keep the drains clear in the police building parking lot.

Campus Emergency Line
is Active - 888 533-5388
Recent heavy rains and poor weather has prompted a reminder that the University has a telephone line where employees and others may call to get the latest on campus emergencies or other events that require campus notification, particularly on nights and weekends and when e-mail is not available. That toll free number is (888) 533-5388.
Additionally, please be aware that SSU Police Services can be reached to report an emergency by dialing 9-1-1 from any campus phone (no other numbers needed). If calling from a cell phone or off campus, please call Police Services at (707) 664-2143.
Police Services provides a free escort service by calling their main
number, 4-2143. Small stickers, approximately 1" x 2", listing the above numbers, are available at Police Services. Please drop by to pick one or more up. It is advisable to keep one of the stickers on a home phone so that the emergency number is accessible.
