Cristina Santini, of the University of Florence, is at SSU for three months to conduct survey and case study research into innovation and sustainability in the regional wine industries of California and Italy. She is working under the direction of several professors in the Wine Business Program as well as her doctoral committee at the University of Florence. Her research will be highly beneficial to discovering the factors that determine competitiveness in the regional as well as global wine industry. "It will also help begin the process of international exchanges to help realize SSU's vision for a globally recognized program in wine business," says wine business professor Armand Gilinsky.
