School of Education is Holiday Door Winner
Thanks to everyone who decorated their doors, offices, and cubicles. There were eleven folks who entered the Holiday Door Contest this year using diverse approaches in their decorating. The judges concurred that three doors rose quickly to the top with Education taking the grand prize.
Education had a cleverly designed door (Redwood Lounge Entrance) using a window box of lollipops and candy around their door to show their holiday spirit with the feel of the Education Department.
IT Lab Managers got high marks for their CD Christmas tree having Nerds candy and glowing worms as decorations and a variety of hardware for presents under the tree. Their whole area was very fun & cheery. You could tell they really enjoyed their decorating this year.
SSALI also was right up in this cluster with their display of many languages on the tree ornaments.
Thanks to Dining Services, Stephanie Larcher; A&F, Kathy Mahler; Anthropology Human Development-Linguistics, Cookie Galvin; Academic Senate, Laurel Holmstrom & Tia; University Affairs, Kathryn Atwood; Psychology, Celeste Lerat; Modern Languages, Delores Bainter; and Nursing, Ana Munoz for their holiday spirit and efforts. You've made all of our days brighter with your ingenuity and decorating skills.
I would also like to thank Ken Brown of the SSU Bookstore for generously donating the grand prize and Stephen Green of Human Resources, Alisandra Brewer of Information Technology, and Mary Beth Hull of the Math Department for helping me as judges this year.
