SSE's new programs include new snack choices, bookstore design, catering menus and more... by Ryan Ernst Sonoma State Enterprises is pleased to announce a multitude of new offerings in each of its areas. In response to customer feedback, SSE has instituted the new services to better serve all students, faculty, and staff. University Dining Services brings Balanced Choices items to vending machines which feature snacks with 7g of fat or less, 260 calories or less, and 250mg of sodium or less per serving. Each vending machine will have special “green leaf” markers to identify the Balanced Choices snacks. Some Balanced Choices will include unsalted trail mix, fat-free Fig Newtons and Odwalla bars. The Bookstore's interior layout has been rearranged to promote easy checkout which will save customers time during this busy season. Newly designed sweatshirts and other clothing items are featured. Reprographics has acquired new Canon high-speed printer/copier equipment for its operations. All of the copier/printers will be connected to Reprographics “Digital StoreFront” to allow online ordering. This technology will put SSU at the cutting edge of document management and duplication. Customers will experience faster turn-around times and more value added services with this equipment. Reprographics will have an open house and demo sessions as soon as the equipment is up and running at full capacity in late September or early October. Conferences, Events, and Catering has revised catering menus. The new menus focus on different levels of service. This approach will allow customers to choose the level of service and subsequent cost that best fits their budget and event needs. CEC is also planning an event to help introduce the new menu to students, faculty, and staff. This demonstration is designed to highlight the features of each level of service and will be hosted by the CEC coordinators. The dates will be secured in the coming weeks and CEC will make an announcement when the event has been confirmed. The CEC menu is posted online at www.sonoma.edu/cec.
