A Great Honor
Colleagues:
I write to express my humble appreciation and gratitude to all of the university community who turned out for the Teaching Excellence award reception. It has taken me some time to assimilate what a great honor you have all bestowed on me with your presence at this event. It was somewhat astounding to see all of the people who gave freely of their valuable time to attend. I am grateful to all the students and faculty who supported me in this, and to those who also came to the reception, early or later after their classes. But I also want to acknowledge the kindness of administrators and staff who turned out in great number and spent their time there. Our President, the Provost and most of his staff were present, as well as most of the Deans, the Police Chief and Captain.Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I feel your presence at this event demonstrates how much you believe in the mission of Sonoma State, and its teachers.
