The popular Fridays at Four for all campus faculty, staff, and students to network and mingle at the University Club is from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16. Everyone who comes is encouraged to sample from the free menu the chef has created. A cash bar will be available.

Paycheck Ready on Dec. 30

The State Controller's Office reports the December pay date is Dec. 30. Pay warrants will be released beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday Dec. 30, but employees should not deposit them until after 3 p.m. Since the campus will be closed for the holidays on payday, pay warrants will be available for pick up after 9 a.m. on Dec. 30 through Jan. 2, 2006 at the Police and Parking Services Building in Verdot Village near the west side dorms, opposite parking lot D. A photo ID is required to pick up the check. Warrants not picked up by Jan. 2 will be placed in Customer Service, first floor  Salazar, and will be available to be picked up by the department in the usual manner after 9 a.m. on Jan. 3. Direct deposit funds will be deposited on Jan. 3, 2006.

There is Still Time to Deck the Doors and Cubicles

It's time to deck the halls with holiday cheer. Categories for judging in the annual Holiday Door and Cubicle contest are: Originality, Evokes Holiday Spirit or Message, Effort Involved, and Integration of Department into the Display. Seawolf Shops will provide a "mystery" prize for the winner of the contest. Dec. 21 is judgment day. To sign up, contact Jean Wasp, jean.wasp@sonoma.edu, 4-2057.

Key Reminder for Departments with Student Employees

Departments are asked to remind students holding campus keys to return or renew their keys by Dec. 31. Campus keys can be returned to Customer Services in Salazar Hall. If a student will continue serving a department through the spring semester, a new key request form must be submitted to Customer Services, signed by the dean or department manager. The form can be found at:
http://www.sonoma.edu/afd/forms/pdf/stud_key.pdf. The campus key policy allows students to have keys for the period of one semester or summer.  Failure to return/renew campus keys results in an administrative hold being placed on students' registration, grades, transcripts, and diploma. These steps are taken to insure University security.
