Night MusicCharming and Delightful
"A Little Night Music" Opens

Stephen Sondheim's and Hugh Wheeler's enchanting musical, "A Little Night Music," is now being presented in six performances at the Evert B. Person Theatre through March 5. The story, inspired by Ingmar Bergman's "Smiles of a Summer Night," delves into overlapping love triangles, a midlife crisis and a duel over jealousy. Beautifully portrayed with equal parts tenderness and humor, "A Little Night Music" takes subject matter that on the surface is serious and shapes it into an evening of entertainment that is warm, funny and engaging. Tickets are $12 for faculty and staff and are available from the CPA box office at 4-2353 from Monday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m.

Come to the MEAP Reception

The Migrant Education Advisor Program celebrates it’s tenth anniversary with a reception to be held at the Commons on Tuesday, Feb. 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. MEAP is a collaborative effort between Migrant Education, Region II – Area I, the Masters in Counseling Program at SSU, and participating school districts. MEAP was developed in response to three specific needs: The need to provide academic advisement and support services to middle and high school migrant students in order to help them to experience educational success and ensure that they graduate from high school, 2) the need to identify cost effective strategies and programs for providing these types of services, and 3) the need to increase the pool of potential bilingual/bicultural school counseling candidates, former migrant or not. For further information, contact Giselle Perry, MEAP College Coordinator, 4-2748.
