Call for Student Commencement Speakers
The Student Speaker Selection Committee is accepting applications through 4 p.m. Monday, March 27 from students who want to deliver a Commencement address to their fellow graduates. One speaker will be chosen from nominees from the Schools of Science and Technology and from Social Sciences to speak at the morning ceremony at 9 a.m. A second speaker will be chosen from nominees from the Schools of Arts and Humanities and from Business and Economics to speak at the afternoon ceremony at 3 p.m.
All students wishing to be considered should consult the details to submission which is available online by going to the SSU home page and choosing "Commencement 2006" from the Sonoma Focus section. Hard copy applications are available in the University Affairs Office, Stevenson 1064, or the Associated Students Office, Student Union (second floor). Introduction to Photoshop Elements
Tim Hensel and Christine Hayes of the University Library are offering a two-hour workshop on "Introduction to Photoshop Elements" from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, in Schulz 1125 for all interested employees. This workshop covers the basics of Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 as a tool for editing images and making images that are ready for the Web or print.
