Student Commencement Speakers - The Student Speaker Selection Committee is accepting applications through 4 p.m. Monday, March 27, from students who want to deliver a Commencement address to their fellow graduates. All students wishing to be considered should consult the details for submission which is available online by going to the SSU home page and choosing "Commencement 2006" from the Sonoma Focus section. Hard copy applications are available in the University Affairs Office, Stevenson 1064, or the Associated Students Office, Student Union (second floor). Expanding Your Horizons - Volunteers are needed for the Saturday, March 18 Expanding Your Horizons Conference at SSU from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shifts range from one hour to the entire day. To find out more about the conference go to www.eyh-soco.org. High school students who would like to earn some community service are welcome.Volunteers receive a free t-shirt and lunch. Undergraduate Research Grants - Funds are available to support several additional undergraduate research grants this semester. The maximum award is $500 per grant. Guidelines and application forms are available in Academic Programs, Stevenson 1041. The priority deadline for applications is March 20. For further information, contact David Hartranft at 4-2237.

Bidnight Madness Silent/Live Auction and Dinner - The primary fundraiser for the Sonoma State Athletic Department will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Rohnert Park this year at 5 p.m., Saturday, May 6. Enjoy an evening of great food, fine wine and an incredible selection of auction items featuring vacations, wine, gold and much more.
