Etel Adnan Reads Her Poetry and Prose, March 29
The Hutchins School of Liberal Studies and the University Library are hosting a reading by Etel Adnan on Wednesday, March 29 from noon-1 p.m. in Schulz 3001. A native of Lebanon, Adnan has been living in the Bay Area, Paris and Beirut. She taught philosophy at Dominican College in San Rafael for fourteen years. Adnan has published numerous works of poetry and prose whose hallmark is an "intense emotive strength of perception." She will be reading from her latest work just published by City Lights Press, "In the Heart of the Heart of Another Country," a haunting meditation on place and history. The reading will also be webcast at http://streaming.sonoma.edu.
