Share Your Talents at Staff Appreciation Day

Mark your calendars! The 2006 Staff Appreciation Day is scheduled for Tuesday, June 20. The day begins at 8 a.m. at the Commons with light refreshments, the announcement of the 2006-07 Excellence Award Winners, personal and professional enrichment sessions that staff may choose to attend, and the opportunity to vote in the first annual Pet Photo Contest.

Lunch will be provided from 12:30-2 p.m., there will be individual display and information booths and a prize raffle. A schedule of the entire day’s events will be distributed to staff members in early June. Managers are asked to encourage their staff to participate in the day.

Sign Up by May 12
Human Services is looking for volunteers to present enrichment sessions for the day. Sessions in the past have been knitting, tours and information of campus areas, cooking demonstrations, and wellness/healthy lifestyle. This is a time to share a knowledge, hobby, or talents with colleagues. In addition, employees, groups, or departments are encouraged to reserve a display table and chairs for the lunchtime display and information booths.
