Nate Johnson, Police Chief and Senior Director for Police and Parking Services, gave the May 26 Commencement address to the 150th graduating class of the Santa Rosa Police Academy. His address focused on the effects of changes in law enforcement during the past 20 years and the need for future law enforcement officers to express more creativity, compassion, and to maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Johnson also emphasized the need for the graduating officers to continue their education in order to be prepared to handle a variety of challenges and new opportunities within their professional organizations. Johnson also serves as Chair of the Law Enforcement Academy's Advisory Board.
