Faculty Consultation in Budgetary Matters Policy

Southwest Airlines Contract Rate Changed

Effective July 1, 2006, procedures have changed for accessing the contract rates for airfares on Southwest Airlines. The contract fares are only available through internet purchase using the American Express Government card. The process is as follows:

Log into www.swabiz.com. Enter the following Company Identification Number: 99419482

Use of the AMEX government card is required (the SWA system has the series from AMEX and can tell the difference from a "regular" AMEX card). Southwest Airlines is offering double rapid rewards for SWABIZ travelers through June 30, 2007. They also offer a free roundtrip for every four roundtrips purchased within a 12-month period by an individual traveler.

The listing of "pair cities" and other contract airlines will be posted to the Customer Services Web site as soon as the information is forwarded from Sacramento (Department of General Services).
