Ashlee Deskin, Campus Life, is a winner of a $1,000 Star Trac Student Grant which will cover the registration costs for her to attend the National Marketing Institute from Nov. 29-Dec. 1 in San Antonio, Texas. In addition, she will be presented with a check for the remainder of the grant amount to offset her NMI travel expenses. Deskin will write a summary report of the 2006 NMI and have it distributed it to her region through their NIRSA regional newsletters and/or NIRSA Regional Student Reps. She has worked with Campus Rec as a work-study student since her first semester on campus, three-and-a-half years ago, and is now a senior in Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing. After graduating in May, she plans to work for a year prior to applying for the MBA Program at the well-known Warsaw Sports Marketing Center at the University of Oregon.
