Distribution of Pay Warrants on Dec. 29
The December pay day is Dec. 29 and all warrants will be released beginning 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 29. Employees may not deposit them until after 3 p.m. The posting date for direct deposit warrants is Jan. 2, 2007. Since the campus will be closed for the holidays on pay day, pay warrants will be available for pick up after 9 a.m. on Dec. 29 through Jan. 2, 2007 at Police Services, located near the Cooperage. In order to pick up a pay warrant, be sure to bring along a photo ID. Warrants not picked up at Police Services will be distributed in departments, by warrant pick up clerks, after 9 a.m. on Jan. 2, 2007.
Key Reminder for Departments with Student Employees
Departments are asked to remind students holding campus keys to return or renew their keys by Dec. 21. Campus keys can be returned to Customer Services in Salazar Hall. If a student will continue serving a department through the spring semester, a new key request form must be submitted to Customer Services, signed by the dean or department manager. The campus key policy allows students to have keys for the period of one semester or summer. Failure to return/renew campus keys results in an administrative hold being placed on students' registration, grades, transcripts, and diploma. These steps are taken to ensure University security.
New Student Assistant Sign-ups for Spring Semester
Additional student assistant sign-ups will be held at 10 a.m. on Jan. 31, Feb. 7 and 14 in the Administration and Finance office on the second floor of Salazar for students hired for the spring semester. Sign-ups will continue to be held every Thursday at noon. Students are required to bring a Student Employment Form (SEF) and appropriate ID to satisfy I-9 requirements. For additional information and sign-up forms visit the student sign-up Web site. Special sign-up arrangements are available for those students who cannot attend a scheduled sign-up session or in the case of emergency hires. Phone 4-3278 to arrange a date and time.
