Yvonne
Burbank has
joined the Department of Intercollegiate
Athletics as Assistant Athletic Director/Compliance
Coordinator. A former women's basketball player at Sonoma
State, Burbank arrives back on campus with impressive credentials. "The
search committee was extremely impressed with the wide
range of experience Yvonne has accumulated in her career," said
SSU Director of Athletics Bill Fusco. "She
will be a tremendous advocate for our student-athletes
and coaches." A decorated women's basketball star at
SSU from 1995-99, Burbank (then Yvonne Daily) was a team
captain and the president of the Student Athlete Advisory
Committee. On the court, she helped lead the team to an NCAC
co-championship and to back-to-back NCAA regional appearances.

Prior to joining the staff here, Sugiyama was for two years
Sacramento State's first Pride Center (services for the
LGBTIQA community) coordinator while pursuing her master's
degree in Educational Technology. She plans to complete
her degree this year.
