"Stress FREE Week" at the Recreation Center

Feeling a little stressed this time of year? Don't have a lot of free time? For one week at the Recreation Center, the inMotion fitness program offers free Power Half-Hour classes to all faculty, staff, and students from December 3-6. Membership with the Recreation Center is not required to take advantage of these free classes.

Exercise is an effective way to relieve stress and these short thirty-minute classes can easily fit into any schedule. Try spinning, boot camp, kickboxing, yoga, abs, interval classes, and more. All abilities are welcome and participants will be entered in a drawing to win other stress-relieving prizes such as a Rec Center massage. Come to the Rec Center to pick up or view a class schedule. Call Erin Orndorf at 4-3428 for more information.

Travel Authorizations Need Prior Approval

In accordance with Executive Order 688, pursuant to Education Code Section 89753(c) and Standing Orders of the Board of Trustees, all travel on university business needs to be approved in advance of the trip. Reimbursement will not be processed for travel claims submitted without the prior approval completed. Exceptions will require special approval by the office of the Vice-president of Administration and Finance.

The appropriate document for this purpose is the Authorization for Absence from Campus Duties/Travel Request/Travel Advance Request form available on-line at http://www.sonoma.edu/afd/forms/csforms.shtml.

In 1998, President Armiñana sub-delegated approval authority for travel requests to Cabinet Officers, Deans, and School Administrative Managers. This sub-delegation remains in effect. Out-of-country travel must have additional advance approval from President Armiñana. Cabinet Officer travel requires the approval of President Armiñana.
