
HOLIDAY DOOR CONTEST - The Nursing Department's creative approach to the holidays won first prize in the Holiday Door and Cubicle Contest in December. Other winners were Center for Community Engagement (second place), Dining Services Office (third place) and School of Education (Honorable Mention). Future of SSU is Subject
of Spring Convocation,
January 24
The budget situation and SSU's future in the next five years is the subject of the Spring 2008 University Convocation from 8:30-11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 24 in the Evert B. Person Theatre. The Faculty Retreat follows in the afternoon. Schools have scheduled meetings on Wednesday, January 23. The Academic Senate welcomes the campus community to all events.

8:30 a.m. - Refreshments, Lobby of Theater
9 a.m. - Welcome and Opening Remarks by Dr. Tim Wandling, Chair of the Faculty, followed by a panel discussion responding to the question:
"What would you like to see the campus community do in the next six months to bring the campus to where you would like it to be in five years?"
Speakers include Wandling, President Ruben Arminana, Provost Eduardo Ochoa, California Faculty Association President Andy Merrifield, Staff Representative Lane Olson and Associated Students President Whitney Diver.
Microphones will be set up in the aisles for questioners. Convocation adjourns by 11:30 a.m.
