PROFESSIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Suzanne Toczyski, Modern Languages & Literatures, recently gave a paper entitled, "ÇVoilˆ bien des documents de cuisine pour un missionaire apostoliqueÈ: Jean-Baptiste Labat and The Buccaneer Barbecue" at the annual conference of the North American Society for Seventeenth-Century French Literature, held this year at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.

Leny Strobel, American Multicultural Studies, and Miriam Hutchins, North Bay International Studies Project, received a second Fulbright Hays Group Project Grant to take eleven K-12 teachers on a study tour of the Southern Philippines from July 10-August 9. The project will enable Fulbright fellows to develop curriculum materials about the Philippines that will be integrated in the Language Arts and Social Science curricula.
