Authors
Raskin Publishes Book on "The Radical Jack London"
"The Radical Jack London: Writings On War and Revolution," edited
and with an introduction by Communications Professor Jonah Raskin, has
just been
published by The University of California Press. The book highlights
the
life and the work of Jack London, a pivotal figure in American Literature.
It
contains forgotten and ignored writings that have never before been anthologized
or collected. Raskin provides an introduction to each selection that
interprets London's work, and shows the connections between his personal
life and his politics. The introduction to "The Radical Jack London" examines
the man behind the myth and the personal experience behind the fiction,
Raskin says.
